Most companies provide free trials or demos so that customers can evaluate a new product or service before committing. Free trials or demos are usually the best way to check if something will work for you, with no financial risk involved at all. The following represent the types of free trials and demos that are usually found:

1. Software & Apps
Most software companies allow free trials for a certain period, usually from 7 to 30 days. In this time, full-featured access is given to the product to test its functionality and usability. Free trials are widely used by popular services, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office 365, and different cloud storage solutions, to let customers decide whether the software fits their workflow. Some software companies follow a "freemium" pricing model whereby some features of the application will be free but where there is a charge for premium features.

2. Streaming Service
